Spectator Etiquette

Things to be careful about and pay attention to for an enjoyable viewing experience. Let's all enjoy watching while following the rules and manners!

Spectator Etiquette

Things to be aware of in the viewing area

To enjoy watching, it's also important to be considerate of other spectators sitting around you.

  1. Parasols and Umbrellas

Please refrain from using them during the event, as they not only obstruct the view of the person next to you and those behind you but can also be dangerous if blown by the wind. For sun protection, it is best to wear a hat or sunglasses, and if it rains, use a raincoat or poncho.

  2. Support Goods

Cheer horns, sound-producing instruments, and light-emitting support goods can affect those watching around you and the Riders. Please support by waving flags and clapping. Also, regarding the display of banners at the victory stand, please place them in the designated area so as not to obstruct the view of other guests.

  3. Reservation of Space

In the viewing area, we kindly ask you to refrain from using ladders, leisure sheets, luggage, ropes, etc., to secure a viewing spot for an extended period. Especially in the free seating area, please be considerate and share with each other for a pleasant viewing experience.

  4. Smoking

The viewing area is completely non-smoking. Please use the designated smoking areas for smoking.

  5. Pet Accompaniment

In some viewing areas, pets (dogs only) are allowed. For areas where pets are permitted outside of the viewing areas, please see here. Dog-friendly area map (PDF)
