Sustainability at Motegi
Mobility Resort Motegi aims to contribute to the growth of companies and the creation of a sustainable future.
We will also contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our business activities in four themes: "environment, society, local community, and human resources."

At Hello Woods in Mobility Resort Motegi, we maintain the forest, ensuring paths are easy for visitors to walk on, as well as managing safety by removing fallen trees and other hazards in advance.
As a result of continued maintenance of various forests, approximately 5,800 species of living organisms, including rare species, have been confirmed within the Mobility Resort Motegi grounds. We also participate in the Ministry of the Environment's "Monitoring Site 1000-ri Survey" to investigate the long-term changes of living creatures inhabiting the satoyama, and strive to create forests with a constant awareness of biodiversity.
In 2023, it was certified as a "Nature Coexistence Site," a biodiversity conservation area designated by the Ministry of the Environment.
Since its opening, Mobility Resort Motegi has conducted corporate activities in harmony with the environment, themed around the coexistence of people, nature, and mobility.
In June 2026, Mobility Resort Motegi joined the "Sports for Nature" framework, thereby participating in an international initiative that leverages the power of sports to protect and restore nature.
This initiative is based on the forest conservation and biodiversity efforts that our facility has promoted so far, and aims to expand understanding and actions related to sustainability both inside and outside the circuit.
Organic waste from the dining establishments such as "Restaurant in the Woods MARCHERANT" and "Cafe Restaurant Oak" within Mobility Resort Motegi is used as raw material for compost at the organic waste recycling facility "Midori-kan" in Motegi Town.
Certified by Tochigi Prefecture in 2021. We conduct nature activities and social experience activities through programs aimed at observing the ecology of plants and animals, and promoting interest and awareness in environmental conservation in a well-managed and maintained Satoyama.
Mobility Resort Motegi is registered with the "Tochigi SDGs Promotion Company Registration System," which promotes efforts toward achieving the SDGs, and is engaged in SDGs activities.
The restaurant "MARCHERANT Marcherant" located inside Mobility Resort Motegi hotel incorporates locally grown seasonal vegetables and brand ingredients that Tochigi prefecture is proud of.
Mobility Resort Motegi has concluded an "Comprehensive Partnership Agreement" with Tochigi Prefecture, Motegi Town, Haga Town, and Mooka Technical High School (Mooka City, Tochigi Prefecture) to promote cooperation across a wide range of fields. Additionally, by allowing people to experience the unique attractions and culture of the surrounding area, it aims to revitalize the region and preserve its culture.

We aim to create an environment where each individual can work with vitality and pride, respecting each other's diverse personalities based on Honda Group's fundamental principle of "Respect for the Individual".

In the Trial World Championship, where trial bikes race through lush forests and people, nature, and mobility merge, we conduct sustainable event management with consideration for environmental impact.

In addition to the "biodiversity" activities we have been working on until last year, this year we are strengthening collaboration with the local community. Connecting the local community and the TrialGP of Japan.
・An area where visitors can enjoy Motegi Town’s agricultural products, food, and crafts will be set up, providing trial spectators with an opportunity to learn about the attractions of Motegi Town and contributing to the local economy. Additionally, the establishment of this area will serve as an opportunity for Motegi Town residents to rediscover the charm of their hometown.
・As an activity jointly conducted by young staff from both the Motegi Town Hall and Mobility Resort Motegi, a behind-the-scenes tour of the racing course operations will be offered to visitors.
Residents of Motegi, where Mobility Resort Motegi is located, will be invited free of charge. This will be a great opportunity to convey the appeal of the TrialGP of Japan to the local residents.
・We will enlist the cooperation of local high school students as members involved in creating the TrialGP of Japan. This initiative provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity and ingenuity, as well as to learn the spirit of social contribution.
・Additionally, we will visit school facilities to conduct trial demonstrations and lectures on motorsports for students, creating opportunities to deepen their understanding.
・These initiatives are reported by local media and become well known among local residents, thereby expanding efforts for coexistence with the local community through the partnership agreement.
・Following last year, the ceremony will be splendidly staged with the cooperation of local children and students.
・Start ceremony performance by the Motegi town Japanese drum team "Waon" (planned)
・Using the trial section at Mobility Resort Motegi, Mobility Resort Motegi cooperated in joint training for police officers from the three neighboring prefectures of Tochigi, Gunma, and Ibaraki, with All Japan Trial Champion Tomoyuki Ogawa as the instructor. This training aims to improve motorcycle skills in emergencies and provided an important training opportunity in Japan, where disasters such as earthquakes are anticipated.
・These initiatives were reported by local media and made known to the local residents, promoting that trial is a motorsports activity contributing to society.
・We design sections with low environmental impact and carry out restoration work after events.
・As a new initiative starting this year, we hold tours accompanied by staff. Visitors are given lectures on biodiversity as well as environmental conservation in the implementation of trial events.
・Deepen understanding of the blessings of the forest by creating essential items for satoyama life through a craft experience using materials from the Hello Woods forest.
・Conduct an activity to deepen understanding of biodiversity by searching for introduction POPs of plants and animals scattered throughout the forest in a game format.
Mobility Resort Motegi, together with Hello Woods staff who have been engaged in forest conservation activities for 30 years, and Trial Riders, will carry out tree planting as a symbol of conservation efforts.

Continuing from last year, we will invite young people using the 16-23 Zero Yen Pass. Local high school and university students will be invited to experience trial riding, creating opportunities to connect them as future fans. Students from Mooka Technical High School, who are in charge of decorations, are also included, providing an opportunity to showcase their collaboration with this global event to their schoolmates.
・During the Trial World Championship TrialGP of Japan, a special operation incorporating trial elements will be held for the new attraction "RINDO BIKE," allowing children to safely experience off-road touring. This creates an opportunity for children to get in touch with the sport of trial.
・Expressing the world of trial by riding between markers and presenting commemorative cards for a “clean” run.
・Staff act as “observers,” watching children ride from the course side and judging whether their feet touch the ground.
Continuing from last year, we will further work on reducing CO2 emissions through initiatives such as the use of green power and promotion of low-carbon transportation. After the event ends, we will measure the amount of CO2 emissions and offset any unavoidable CO2 emissions to achieve a "Carbon Neutral Event."
・Continuing from last year, we will work on reducing waste.
・Containers used for food and drinks provided at restaurants/fast food outlets will use recycled or biomass materials.
・As much as possible, passes will use electronic tickets or paper to reduce disposable plastics.
・Understand the plastic content of incinerated waste through composition analysis
・Separate waste to promote recycling and composting
→Through Motegi Town’s recycling facility “Midorikan,” compost food waste to support local agriculture.

・Some company vehicles use EVs / expansion of HV vehicles.
・Creating an environment that makes it easier for spectators to use public transportation. Public transportation is provided with reservation-based buses by Motegi Travel. Free parking for 2 wheels arrivals.
・Creating an environment for a stay-type viewing style, such as camping stays. Increasing the number of days guests can stay on-site, now available from Friday this year.
