2015 "Mote tai (Mote endurance)" August 1 (Sat) Race Report The 4-hour endurance race was won by #34 SEEKS and G!trax with 94 laps, advancing to the 7-hour race!!

The 2015 "Mote tai (Mote endurance)" gathered 130 entries. On August 1 (Sat), Twin Ring Motegi was hit by severe heat from the morning, during which the official qualifying and 4-hour endurance race were held. 77 cars will advance to the 7-hour race on Sunday. In the morning, the humidity was high and the heat was stifling, but as the sun rose, the humidity decreased while the temperature rose further to 37 degrees, and the surface temperature exceeded 55 degrees.

The qualifying rounds were divided into three groups based on classes, where each team's first rider and second rider performed time attacks, and the combined times determined the positions on the final grid. First, the session for the first riders of Group 2A, which included WT, WS, ST-R25, ST-Ninja, and ST-VTR, started at 8:00. Here, Takahiro Yamamoto from #42 YSS Mercury & Santa marked a time of 2 minutes 17.883 to take the top spot. In the following Group 2B for the first riders, the Brave class's #12 CLUB1.2 Kushitani Kawaguchi Store took the lead with a time of 2 minutes 16.666. Tatsuya Kosakabashi from #1 YSS Racing Bull Dock Tagos, who came in second, updated the WT class record with a time of 2 minutes 16.911. Furthermore, in Group 3C, Kazuki Tomita from #99 Racing Team Honey Bee updated the ST-CBR class course record with a time of 2 minutes 22.127, leading to a record rush.
In the second rider session of Group 2A, #42 YSS Mercury & Santa showed their speed again, with Ruka Wada taking the top spot with a time of 2 minutes 18.123. In the second rider session of Group 2B, Toshihiro Nakazawa from #1 YSS Racing Bull Dock Tagos marked a time of 2 minutes 15.934, further updating the record set by first rider Kosakabashi. In second place, Taiga Hada from #68 Riding Sports Fire A marked a good time of 2 minutes 16.713 on a WS-spec CBR250R. In the second rider session of Group C, Shuichiro Nakamura from #87 Assorted Racing marked a time of 2 minutes 21.116, updating the ST-CBR course record by more than a second.

Overall, #1 YSS Racing Bulldozer Tagos secured the pole position with a combined time of 4 minutes 32.845 seconds.
"I made a bit of a mistake on the attack lap. I usually participate in the CBR Cup, but I haven't been able to fully utilize the combination of the Ninja and Pirelli tires. Fuel consumption is at the limit, so it would be interesting if it rains. I actually like the rain," said Nakazawa, who marked the Course Records. On the other hand, his teammate Kosakabashi commented, "If I can escape, I want to, but everyone is fast, so I want to take it easy in the early stages. However, the ideal is to 'escape' (laughs)." First, they would want to make a solid start.

In 2nd place, last year's pole position winner, #12 CLUB1.2 Kushitani Kawaguchi Store, followed with a time of 4 minutes 33.383 seconds, while #42 YSS Mercury & Santa took 3rd place with 4 minutes 36.006 seconds, #68 Riding Sports Fire A was in 4th place with 4 minutes 36.146 seconds, #10 Team Penske was in 5th place with 4 minutes 37.974 seconds, and #57 Vesla Racing with Seido Joshi, the highest R25, followed in 6th place with 4 minutes 38.261 seconds.
The 52 machines that could not advance to the 7-hour endurance road race participated in the 4-hour final. At 2 PM, they started as scheduled in two groups with a Le Mans-style start. #34 SEEKS and G!trax, starting from the 3rd grid, entered the first corner first and came out of the second corner in the lead, winning the opening lap and entering the second lap. In 2nd place was #999 JAM Red Eagle Realize, in 3rd place was #50 RT Gohop Hyakuhon & YFDESIGN, and in 4th place was #39 Onoe Service. Behind them, international licensed riders such as Shinya Harada from #106 Team Kana, Arata Mori from #88 Plan B Racing Team A, and Hiroki Onishi from #135 T-REV RACING were battling and moving up the ranks.

At the one-hour mark, #999 JAM Red Eagle Realize was in the lead, with #24 Yuuki Racing in 12th place on the same lap. Among them was driver Mori from #88 Plan B Racing Team A, but after 1 hour and 20 minutes, he suffered a regrettable fall at the V corner, dropping out of the battle for the lead.

After that, the teams competing for the top position narrowed down, and at the one-hour mark, #24 Yuuki Racing was in the lead but pitted with 35 minutes remaining. At this point, #34 SEEKS and G!trax took the lead. #24 Yuuki Racing, which had pitted out, was trailing by about 12 seconds, but the pace of #34 SEEKS and G!trax was fast, and the gap continued to widen. Meanwhile, the battle for third place was getting closer. With 10 minutes remaining, #58 S-Koubou Garage Harada closed in behind #108 Black Racing, and on the downhill straight of the 91st lap with 5 minutes left, #58 S-Koubou Garage Harada moved ahead.

Leading the pack, [#34 SEEKS and G!trax] completed 94 laps first and took the checkered flag. They won the 4-hour race and advanced to the 7-hour endurance race on Sunday. "This is my first road race in 17 years, and the bike owner, Kuwahara, is racing at Twin Ring Motegi for the first time. I thought I would make it through the qualifying, but I barely missed it. Somehow, I was able to win the 4-hour race, but I gave it my all, so I hope the other riders will do their best to finish. I'm relieved that we can advance to the 7-hour race despite the time constraints," said Watanabe.

In 2nd place was #24 Yuuki Racing, followed by #58 S Garage Harada, who made a last-minute comeback to take 3rd place on the podium. #108 (K) Black Racing in 4th place also recorded 94 laps, the same as the leader.
