September 3 (Sat) Race Report

The #812 Takatsuki Garage Racing Team, wanting to showcase the culmination of their third year, has secured pole position under difficult conditions!

2011 "Open Mote tai" September 3 (Sat) Race Report Finally, the Endurance Carnival 2011 Motegi Open 7 Hours Endurance Road Race "Open Mote tai" has begun.

On September 3 (Sat), a special sports driving session was held in the morning, followed by official qualifying in the afternoon, where a time attack took place to determine the starting grid. Affected by Typhoon No. 12, there were sudden downpours in the morning, followed by intense sunshine that dried the track, only for the rain to return, creating rapidly changing and challenging conditions.

The time attack started with the first rider of Group A, contested in 20-minute sessions. Due to differences in track conditions during each session, the grid was determined by the top times of each group. The fastest time of 5 minutes 00.460, marked by the #812 Takatsuki Garage Racing Team in Group B, secured the pole position.

"I went out on dry tires, and when I entered the course, I thought, 'Did I make a mistake!?' But I had to connect the next part, so I ran as best as I could to avoid falling. The result was good," said the first Rider, Hidetomo Suzuki. He is in his third year with the NZ-based machine (engine is WR250) and has finally started to achieve good times. He expressed confidence in aiming for a dry time of 2 minutes and 20 seconds, with decent fuel efficiency as well.

Starting from the second grid position is the top of Group A, BATTO 54 Flat River Wingstone, followed by BATTO 6 BF TwinSRASH, BATTO 21 PS Eddie & Haratsu Yo Works, BATTO 24 SPA Chokuiri Inst & Phoebe, and BATTO 60 RT Shuwacchi with a cool run.

"Open Mote tai (Mote endurance)" final race will start on September 4 (Sun) at 9:30 aiming for the finish line 7 hours ahead.

The starting rider for [#11 RC30&BLUE EYES] is former MotoGP rider Tohru Ukawa! In the final of the "Mote tai Masters" two years ago, he passed 14 bikes on the opening lap and was in the lead by the second lap. Last year, he participated in the "Open Mote tai" and again showed outstanding speed. This time, he is expected to deliver a performance at the world-class level. Additionally, the All Japan ST600 Champion Tatsuya Yamaguchi is also entered from [#17 Assort + RCR Hangout]. This one is also a must-see!
