BOON! Companion! wins the "Mote tai (Mote endurance)" for the first time with 600cc!

The "Mote tai Masters" final race, contested by selected Riders holding the Twin Ring Motegi Super License, was held on August 22 (Sat). The rain that had fallen until the morning stopped around the time free practice began, and by the time each team took to the grid, the track was in dry condition.

Starting from the third grid, #24 2rinkant RT & DFR showed a great start and took the holeshot, followed by #67 Riding Sports & Fire, #10 WITH ME RACING who started from pole position, #95 BOON! Companion!, and #19 Hamamatsu Ebisu M, FCB & RC30 as they cleared the second corner. Behind them, #30 RC30 & BLUE EYES' Tohru Ukawa, who started from the 15th grid, was in position, returning from the opening lap in second place, and by the second lap, he rose to the top and continued to lead the race. "At first, I wanted to show a good performance, so I wanted to be at the top if possible on the opening lap," said Ukawa. Despite riding the 1987 model VFR750R RC30, he pulled away from the other liter super sports and maintained the lead, showcasing the skills of a former MotoGP rider. #10 WITH ME RACING rose to second place, followed by #95 BOON! Companion!.

After one hour, most teams pit in for refueling. Here, last year's winning team [#135 Tras&elf Racing], which ran for 1 hour and 10 minutes from the start taking advantage of good fuel efficiency, takes the lead. It seemed like a repeat of 2008, but they fell in rank due to machine trouble in the middle of the race.

In the afternoon, the sun came out, and the temperature rose further. Perhaps due to the heat, after about four and a half hours, a machine that had fallen at the S-curve remained on the course, leading to the introduction of a safety car and a full course caution. At this point, the temperature was 36 degrees, and the track temperature was 51 degrees, typical of a summer endurance race.

Troubles occurred for top competing teams such as #10 WITH ME RACING, #2 2Rinkan R.T, and #67 Riding Sports & Fire, causing them to drop in rank. From around the middle of the race, the battle for the top position narrowed down to two teams: #37 Freeway + Aprilia and #95 BOON! Companion!

With 50 minutes remaining, #95 BOON! Companion! makes its final routine pit stop. During this time, #37 Freeway + Aprilia takes the lead again.

When #95 BOON! Companion! pit out, the gap to the leading #37 Freeway + Aprilia was about 28 seconds, but after entering the third lap post-pit, #95 BOON! Companion! quickly closed the gap and reclaimed the lead with a time in the 2:03 range. After that, #95 BOON! Companion! consistently ran in the 2:02 to 2:03 range, pulling away from #37 Freeway + Aprilia and crossing the checker flag. #95 BOON! Companion! recorded 183 laps and won the Mote tai Masters. "We had no strategy at all. We just returned to the pit when the fuel warning light started blinking," said Takahito Ueda.

On the other hand, the battle for 3rd place ended dramatically. With about 30 minutes remaining, the #30 RC30 & BLUE EYES, running in 3rd place, made a pit stop. The #12 Reality MP Yajima RT moved up to 3rd place, while the #2 PUTO was chasing in 4th. With 2 laps to go, the gap between #12 Reality MP Yajima RT and #2 PUTO was about 12 seconds, but as they entered the last lap, that gap had shrunk to 6 seconds. "Could it be that #12 is in front of me?" thought driver Nobuyuki Okada, and he increased his pace. On the downhill straight, he caught up to its tail, and at the 90-degree corner, he moved inside #12 Reality MP Yajima RT to take 3rd place. After 7 hours, #2 PUTO secured the 3rd place podium.
