#51 Besra Racing TEC2&YSS takes the first pole position!
The 3-hour race was won by #9 MUSHMANS Racing Team with a large margin!!
The "Mote tai (Mote endurance)" has reached its 25th anniversary. A new page in the history of a quarter-century has been opened. The "Mote tai" in 2022 was held for the first time in September. On September 10 (Sat), under the blue sky, the official qualifying and the 3-hour endurance final were held.
This year, starting at 8:00, we will first conduct the official qualifying for the 3-hour final race and free practice, with the official qualifying for the 7-hour endurance final race starting at 9:40. Time attacks were held in 15-minute sessions for the first Rider of Group A, the first Rider of Group B, the second Rider of Group A, and the second Rider of Group B.
In the first session of Group A, Takao Fukuda from #51 Vesla Racing TEC2&YSS recorded a time of 2 minutes 14.677 seconds, being the only one to achieve a time in the 2 minute 14 second range and took the top position. In the second session of Group A, Hirokazu Endo from #51 Vesla Racing TEC2&YSS marked a time of 2 minutes 14.362, also securing the top position, resulting in a combined time of 4 minutes 29.039, earning the pole position.
"I am honestly happy to have secured pole position for the first time. This is thanks to the team. We, the Riders, have been able to focus on racing, which I believe led to this result. However, the main event is the final race, so I plan to stay focused and give it my all," said Endo. Fukuda added, "There are still areas where we need to adjust, so I believe that if we improve further, our fuel efficiency will naturally get better. The fact that all the Riders can race at the same level is a strength of this team. This year, we will unite as a team to aim for victory!" Last year, we were just one step away from winning, so the desire for 'this year for sure' is strong.
In second place was #65 Dan Run Team - Koin Central Trading RT with a time of 4 minutes 31.272 seconds, in third place was #10 Team Dendenmaru Car No. 10 with a time of 4 minutes 31.653 seconds, in fourth place was #67 Riding Sports & Fire 67 with a time of 4 minutes 31.865 seconds, and in fifth place was #66 Koumei TSC & DF Noriz with a time of 4 minutes 32.165 seconds, all closely followed.
In the 3-hour endurance final race, 31 cars participated, an increase of 10 from last year. In the early stages of the race, #92 PRT TOPS with YSS SNIPER led the race, followed closely by #64 TEAM ATSU with PUTO and #27 Auto Shop Honma and Friends, forming a top group of three. Alone in fourth place was #9 MUSHMANS Racing Team. As the battle for the lead continued, #27 Auto Shop Honma and Friends began to fall behind, leading to a head-to-head competition between #92 PRT TOPS with YSS SNIPER and #64 TEAM ATSU with PUTO, with #64 TEAM ATSU with PUTO moving ahead.
Around 45 minutes in, the top 2 made their first pit stop. [#92 PRT TOPS with YSS SNIPER] refueled, but [#64 TEAM ATSU with Besra] only changed riders to maintain the lead. As the race reached its halfway point, [#64 TEAM ATSU with Besra] came into the pits for their first refueling.
After that, the #9 MUSHMANS Racing Team takes the lead, but right behind them is the #31 BALZ STORE MOTORCYCLE 3H-B closing in. With that momentum, the #31 BALZ STORE MOTORCYCLE 3H-B takes the top position, but the #9 MUSHMANS Racing Team overtakes them again and extends their lead.
In the end, the PUTO Racing Team completed 72 laps, finishing 2 laps ahead in 2nd place and crossing the finish line first. They brilliantly secured the 3-hour endurance race.
"I was happy to have secured pole position in the qualifying, but when the race started, everyone was fast. However, I was able to close the gap during the second stint, which was good. Ultimately, we were able to win, but at first, it was nerve-wracking. It was the result of everyone preparing diligently together. I believe it is the result of the advice we received from team owner Mr. Fujita, who used to race in the past," said driver Hiroaki Hiroi.
In 2nd place is [#92 PRT TOPS with YSS SNIPER], 3rd place is [#23 Team Garinko II], 4th place is [#31 BALZ STORE MOTORCYCLE 3H-B], 5th place is [#64 TEAM ATSU with Vesla], 6th place is [#33 STars with club baz riders], completing 70 laps. In 7th place is [#63 GZ*ONE], which wins the G310/AS class, and in 8th place is [#91 APPRISE Pit Shirt HB], which wins the Ninja class.
