Initiatives at MOTEGI

Environment

  • Biodiversity

    Biodiversity

At Hello Woods in Mobility Resort Motegi, we maintain the forest and ensure that visitors have easy-to-walk paths by removing fallen trees and other potential hazards.
As a result of our continued efforts in forest maintenance, approximately 5,800 species of living creatures, including rare species, have been confirmed within the Mobility Resort Motegi grounds. We also participate in the Ministry of the Environment's "Monitoring Site 1000-ri Survey" to investigate the changes in living creatures inhabiting the satoyama (mountain village) area, and strive to create a forest that is always conscious of biodiversity.

Implement initiatives that contribute to achieving SDGs through events, aiming for sustainability.

  • Implementation of Environmentally Friendly Event Management

Implementation of Environmentally Friendly Event Management

We will select routes that minimize the impact on the habitat of plants and animals, and strive to restore the greenery to its original state after the competition. We use section tape made of 100% biodegradable resin to partition the competition area in some sections. In addition, we aim for carbon neutrality by having electric trial bikes participate.

    • Energy for everyone and clean
    • Create the foundation for industry and technological innovation
    • Concrete measures against climate change
    • Let's protect the richness of the land
  • Co-hosting the TrialGP Women class

    Co-hosting the TrialGP Women class

The introduction of the women's class from an early stage and the genderless nature of the sport are also attractive features of the Trial World Championship. At the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix, 12 female riders will participate. The co-hosting of the TrialGP Women class was first held at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2018 and this year will be the fourth time it is held.

In addition, the wooden stakes used in sections and travel routes are also made from thinned wood, some of which are harvested from the forest of Hello Woods.
