Initiatives at MOTEGI

Environment

  • Biodiversity

    Biodiversity

At Hello Woods in Mobility Resort Motegi, we maintain the forest and ensure that visitors have easy-to-walk paths by removing fallen trees and other potential hazards.
As a result of our continued efforts in forest maintenance, approximately 5,800 species of living creatures, including rare species, have been confirmed within the Mobility Resort Motegi grounds. We also participate in the Ministry of the Environment's "Monitoring Site 1000-ri Survey" to investigate the changes in living creatures inhabiting the satoyama (mountain village) area, and strive to create a forest that is always conscious of biodiversity.

we conduct event management that is sustainable and mindful of environmental impact.

Environmental Conservation Initiatives

  • Implementation of Environmentally Friendly Event Management

Implementation of Environmentally Friendly Event Management

We select routes that minimize the impact on the habitats of plants and animals, and after the event, we strive to restore the green areas to their original condition.

  • Section using thinned wood

    Section using thinned wood

In some sections, thinned wood is used for wooden stakes indicating obstacles and routes. Some of this thinned wood is sourced from the Hello Woods forest.

Initiatives Toward Sustainable Events

  • Initiatives for utilizing green power and electrification

    Utilization of Green Power and
    Electrification Initiatives

We utilize green power for the electricity used in sections, paddocks, and other areas. Additionally, some of the event operation vehicles are electric or hybrid. The participation of electric trial bikes is increasing year by year, and together with the use of carbon-neutral fuels, CO2 reduction in the competition is also progressing.

  • Efforts to improve recycling rates and promote resource circulation

    Improving Recycling Rates and
    Initiatives for Resource Circulation

The food and beverage containers provided at the venue use recycled and biomass materials, and by thoroughly separating waste, we aim to reduce garbage. We collaborate with the organic waste recycling facility "Midorikan" in Motegi Town to promote resource circulation through composting of food waste.

Contribution to society through the FIM KISS Program

The "KISS Program" is a program promoted by FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) aimed at environmental protection and sustainability.

TrialGP of Japan
  • Tree-planting activities by Trial Riders

Tree Planting Activities by Trial Riders

At Hello Woods, themed as a forest of biodiversity, Riders participating in the event have been planting saplings within the sections since 2024. This initiative, supported by FIM Environmental Ambassador Takahisa Fujinami, expresses the commitment through the competition to "cherish greenery and create a sustainable future."

  • Promoting genderless sports through the Women’s class

    Concurrent TrialGP Women Class

One of the attractions of the Trial World Championship is that it introduced the women's class early on, making it a genderless sport. The concurrent TrialGP Women class at the TrialGP of Japan was first held in 2018, and every year, more than a dozen female Riders actively participate.

  • Collaboration with Local Communities

Before the start and before the awards ceremony, performances will be presented by groups active in the local Tochigi and Ibaraki prefectures.
