2015 "K-TAI" Challenge Class 5-Hour Final Event Report

#77 Endo Auto Service 1 has won the MVP! #23 A1-RACING, which balances fuel efficiency and speed, has finally won the most laps award!!

2015 "K-TAI" Challenge Class 5-Hour Final Event Report The KART endurance festival has reached its memorable 15th anniversary. On August 29 (Sat), the Challenge Class 5-hour endurance race will be held. Starting this week, the temperature has dropped significantly, and with the autumn rain front moving south, Twin Ring Motegi has been rainy since the morning.

By the time the machines were moved to the grid, the rain had stopped, and after the opening ceremony with the declaration by the Twin Ring Motegi Angel and greetings from Manager Aoki, they finally entered the rolling lap. The safety car entered the pits, the signal turned green, and the national flag was waved, marking the start of the K-TAI 5-Hour Challenge Class. Following the pole position starter, #87 CG Robot R Voice No.1, #20 SuperChipsDream moved ahead from the inside to enter the first corner in the lead. This was followed by #4 ddd and #6 Teacher & Salaryman. However, the car that returned first on the opening lap was #77 Endo Auto Service No.1. Following this were #20 SuperChipsDream and #4 ddd, with a slight gap to #23 A1-RACING, #88 Team Douraku no Kai @ SILK, and #87 CG Robot R Voice No.1. After that, #4 ddd moved up to second place and began to lead alongside #77 Endo Auto Service No.1, but both #77 Endo Auto Service No.1 and #4 ddd made their first pit stop after 20 minutes had passed. The car that took the lead was #20 SuperChipsDream, but from this point, light rain began to fall, and there were quite a few cars going off track. Even if a restart is not possible, the four major endurance races at Twin Ring Motegi can be recovered by tow trucks, allowing participants to return to the pits and continue enjoying the race events, which is a delightful aspect.

After that, during the pit-in timing, the top positions changed among [#23 A1-RACING], [#4 ddd], [#20 SuperChipsDream], and [#21 We Racing], but with one hour remaining, [#77 Endo Auto Service No. 1] was in the lead. [#23 A1-RACING] was trailing by 20 seconds and 394 milliseconds. [#77 Endo Auto Service No. 1] wanted to maintain the lead, but had to pit twice afterward, during which [#23 A1-RACING] took the top position and completed 93 laps, winning the most laps award. "This is my sixth challenge at K-TAI. Last year I finished second, so I wanted to finish first this year, and my wish has come true. I was able to win in the winter race, and this time I achieved consecutive victories in the two events I aimed for: the summer K-TAI and the winter race. I am very happy. The key to victory was definitely fuel efficiency. I think it was good that I was able to balance speed and fuel efficiency," he commented.

[#77 Endo Auto Service No. 1] completed 92 laps and received the Excellent Lap Count Award. Furthermore, it also shone as the MVP. The top of Class III finished 6th overall, which was [#26 racer racer].
