"Joy TAI" official qualifying was hit by intense heat from the morning, and as the temperature rose, the road surface temperature also rose rapidly. Each class was divided and the A drivers entered the time attack. Many teams had their best times recorded by A drivers, but the #15 Blaze Sims BS Impreza, which read the road conditions well, recorded the best time of 2 minutes and 12.800 seconds by B driver Mikinori Sato, and successfully secured the pole position.
"We went according to plan. In the A driver's run, there was no rubber on the road, so we asked them to conserve the engine while the B driver put in a solid time. The road temperature was unexpectedly high, so the time was not as good as during the public practice, but we still got pole position. The fuel consumption is also perfect, so we plan to race while keeping an eye on the situation around us," said the team manager. On the other hand, C driver Yuichi Tsuruma's comment was full of determination, "I will go all out until my soul burns out!" The team atmosphere is also good, and it seems that they are coming together as one for the final race.
The #15 Blaze Sims BS Impreza in the A5 class took the top grid, followed by the #44 TM Nakayama WM Integra in second place and the #54 FTJB Elf Impreza in third place in the B4 and B5 classes, respectively. In the A3 class, which had the most entries with 34 cars, the #4 Uetake DLIDI Wako's Levin was the top finisher in 16th place overall.
Also, on this day, after the official qualifying, a “Joy TAI” 3-hour endurance race was held for teams that did not advance to the 7-hour endurance. Nine cars lined up on the grid.
In the early stages, the #63 D-GLATT Airs EG6, which started from pole position, led the race alone but slowed down on lap 24 just before the first pit stop. Although it emitted white smoke and somehow returned to the pits, it retired due to engine failure. Taking over the lead was the #17 Hallman S2000 WITH ME, but it pitted with 35 minutes remaining. During this time, the #78 Cars Hitachi Minami Cartec Civic took the lead and maintained it until the checkered flag, winning the 3-hour endurance race as planned. "We aimed for the 3-hour endurance from the start. Some of our drivers were making their race debut, and due to physical conditions and various circumstances... I’m happy we were able to win as planned," they commented. Second place finished about 50 seconds behind was the #30 Nishikawada Motors & Mibu Auto EK9, and third place, one lap behind, was the #10 M-Sports Aoi SMC Treno.
The #17 Hallman S2000WITHME, which once led the race, finished in 4th place.
