Takano Ryuichiro
Ryuichiro TakanoHello Woods Forest Producer
Born in Kagoshima in 1957
Moved to the shores of Lake Zenbetsu in Daisetsuzan National Park in 1981, designed and built an open-air hot spring, ice bar, and ice museum on the frozen lake during winter. Involved in the planning of Zenbetsu Lake Kotan.
Joined Honda Motor Co., Ltd. as a natural utilization advisor in 1999
Since summer 2002, has been conducting the "Gaki Daiso no Mori Camp" where one spends 30 nights and 31 days in nature.
Designed and built the "Tower of Life" which serves as a hiding place and habitat for various insects and animals, and conducts "Forest Creation Workshops" that incorporate the restoration and preservation of the satoyama forest with general participants.
In April 2008, worked as a program leader for nature guides, planning and producing the new facility "Forest Zipline, Musasabi" which allows for dynamic observation of the forest.
