One of the activities at Hello Woods in Mobility Resort Motegi is "rice planting"
This activity will be introduced in detail about what exactly will be done.
Have you ever done rice planting?
Rice fields are not often seen in urban areas, right? There may be some people who have seen rice fields at their grandmother's house in the countryside! However, I think there are few opportunities to actually experience rice planting.
In the forest called Hello Woods at Mobility Resort Motegi, there are large terraced rice fields that stretch over 24 levels, and every year, rice planting experiences are held there. Many creatures live in the forest, but there are actually some creatures that only inhabit rice fields. To protect the lives of these precious creatures, Hello Woods utilizes the terraced fields and manages them carefully. Of course, we protect the lives of the creatures, and the rice that is planted can be harvested in the fall and eaten as rice after milling. You can truly feel the experience of planting rice yourself and see it grow into rice that can be eaten.
Take off your shoes and socks, and feel the sensation of the soil and the movement of living creatures with the soles of your feet.
Hello Woods is characterized by being shaped by human hands, and the rice fields are the same. Therefore, it's safe and secure to play in the mud! Why not experience rice planting and move your body to the fullest? Children, of course, and adults can enjoy it together. In these times, many people have had fewer opportunities to move their bodies freely. How about taking this opportunity to experience it?
The rice planting experience will be held over two weeks in mid-May.
The time is once in the morning and once in the afternoon, with a duration of 1.5 hours, so you can enjoy it along with other attractions and activities.
On the day, you may get muddy while planting rice in the fields. Hello Woods has shower facilities, so please use them after the event is over. It is also a good idea for energetic children and participating adults to bring a change of clothes.
