RA273 60th Anniversary
TAMIYA and Honda World Exhibition
"RA273" Collaboration Exhibition with Tamiya Commemorating 60 Years of F1 Participation
In 1964, Honda became the first Japanese automobile manufacturer to challenge F1, achieving its first victory at the Final Round, the Mexico GP, in its second year of participation. The machine that debuted at the following year’s Round 7, the Italy GP in 1966, was the RA273. Meanwhile, Tamiya made its first appearance as a Japanese company at the German Toy Show in 1968. The "1/12 Honda F1" model unveiled there quickly attracted attention for its beauty and precision. These two companies challenged the global stage around the same time. We introduce their passion for craftsmanship.
