"Mote tai" is a endurance race that started in 1998 with the theme of "aiming for the world's largest grass race", where any rider and any bike can participate.
The class division, which has been held since 1998, adopts an open class that allows participation in 125cc or more. In order to take into account the large difference in lap times between small displacement vehicles and large displacement vehicles, a refueling restriction is implemented instead. This allows for a new style of race where "slow lap time small displacement vehicles = turtle" and "fast lap time large displacement vehicles = rabbit" can compete on the same stage, and it was proposed to motorsports fans nationwide. In 2008, the "Mote Tai" underwent a major transformation. The race was divided into two main classes.
The first class is the open class, where vehicles with a displacement of 115cc or more and 250cc or less, and 4-stroke, 2-cylinder or less can participate.
The second class is the NEO STANDARD class, which is familiar from the "Motegi Road Race Championship". This class includes top domestic 2-wheel manufacturers such as YAMAHA YZF-R25, KAWASAKI Ninjia250R, HONDA VTR250, CBR250R, as well as foreign machines such as BMW, creating a diverse range of vehicles for intense races both domestically and internationally.
These two class settings have made the charm and fun of "Mote tai" even more pronounced.
