What is "JOY TAI"?

"JOY TAI" is a 4 wheels endurance race that is easy for beginners to participate in!

"JOY TAI" is a JAF certified 4 wheels endurance race held at Mobility Resort Motegi, using box cars and following unique rules. It features a wide variety of eligible vehicles, making participation accessible to many. Other characteristics include the requirement for general tires, and vehicles that stop on the course can be retrieved by officials (*) and can return to the race afterward, making it a race that beginners can participate in with confidence. Every year, we welcome many first-time drivers, and each team enjoys the event with their families and friends. Please enthusiastically participate in the annual box car racing festival, the "Motegi Enjoy Endurance Race 'JOY TAI'".

"JOY TAI" includes various groups such as friends from school or work, family, and car enthusiasts. Enjoy a genuine JAF-approved race with your fun companions.

Meet the eligibility requirements!
■Participant Qualifications

Possess a valid 2026 JAF participant permit.
*This does not apply if the driver also serves as a participant.

■Driver Qualifications

It is necessary to meet the above two conditions, so please check in advance.

  • 1. Hold a valid driver's license and possess a JAF domestic driving competition permit A or higher.
  • 2. In driving sessions or the special sports driving reserved for participants held during the relevant week, meet the driving experience requirements set by the organizer.

Let's sign up!

The entry period is from July 4, 2026 (Sat) to July 19, 2026 (Sun).
*Registration will close once the first 75 entries (capacity) are reached.
*Drivers who are not MCoM/SMSC members will be charged a separate provisional mutual aid fee.

What is an MCoM Member?

MCoM is a membership system established for those who use the courses at Mobility Resort Motegi.

What is an SMSC member?

SMSC (Suzuka Motorsports Club) is a membership program established for those who wish to use the courses at Suzuka Circuit.

Let's participate in the driving event!

If you do not have experience participating in JAF-sanctioned races, you need to record a lap time within 3 minutes at the driving event. Please be sure to join us.

Let's confirm the details registered in the participation acceptance document!

We will send the participation acceptance document about two weeks before the event, so please check that there are no discrepancies in the details.
Also, important announcements regarding the tournament may be enclosed, so representatives are requested to check all documents.

Race week is finally here! Let's head to the venue fully prepared!

First, please check the participation acceptance document to ensure there are no errors. Then, bring items necessary for registration such as your license and seal, as well as tools needed for vehicle maintenance. Please be careful not to forget items that the pit crew will use, such as rain gear, stopwatches, and goggles for refueling.
Also, in case you fail the vehicle inspection, we recommend completing registration and the vehicle inspection on Friday so you can recover.

Finally, the final race!

After completing registration and vehicle inspection, and attending the briefing on the course, the 7-hour endurance race will finally begin.
We hope you enjoy the race with your friends and family, aiming to complete it.

Conditions for Participation

Participants must possess a valid 2026 JAF participant permit.
However, this does not apply if the driver also serves as a participant.

All drivers must hold a valid driver's license and possess a JAF domestic competition license of grade A or higher.

All registered drivers must meet at least one of the following conditions by August 21, 2026 (Fri).

  • (1) Submit a document proving that you have participated in a JAF-sanctioned race and have competed in the final race (including consolation). (Copy of official results is acceptable.)
  • (2) Record a measured result of having driven a lap time within 3 minutes 00 seconds during a driving event or a special sports driving session exclusively for participants held in the relevant week. (The record shall be the result measured by Mobility Resort Motegi.)
    ※The event organizing committee may change the above time depending on road conditions such as rain.
  • (3) Drivers who have no experience participating in the Motegi Enjoy Endurance Race are strongly encouraged to attend the training sessions held during driving events or on the special Sports Driving Reservation days designated for participants in the relevant week.
  • (4) Drivers holding licenses issued by overseas ASNs must possess a license equivalent to JAF’s domestic competition license grade A or higher.
    Also, present documents such as the participation certificate issued by the relevant ASN during the document inspection.

What kind of vehicles can participate?

The event will be held in the following 11 classes for the 2026 season.
Please check the applicable class based on the vehicle's engine displacement and the vehicles eligible to participate.
