Affordable participation fees,
enjoyable box car endurance race with everyone!
In the participatory endurance event presented by Mobility Resort Motegi, the representative popular event for 4 wheels is "Joy Tai". Any driver with a JAF domestic A-class license or above can participate, and it is set up to allow various vehicle types to participate beyond category boundaries, making it a endurance race for box cars.
The first event was held in 2001. Regarding refueling, rules were set to minimize the cost of participation and make the race enjoyable, such as changing the amount of fuel depending on the engine specifications, prohibiting engine starts during refueling, requiring staff to push the car, and mandating pit stops. In addition, regulations were also set to allow officials to recover vehicles that have stopped on the course, ensuring the popularity of the event.
Participating drivers include beginners who have obtained a license for this "JOY TAI" and celebrities from various industries. "JOY TAI" continues to evolve and change every year, and in 2009, a class was established for hybrid cars to participate, attracting attention as a race that keeps up with the times.
What kind of drama will be born in the 23rd edition in 2024?
※General term for staff supporting race operations.
This is a JAF-sanctioned race that anyone with a JAF domestic Class A license or above can participate in, while keeping costs for machines and equipment low, allowing drivers to enjoy one race per year.
If it is a commercially available mass-produced car, you can participate in an open car or a foreign car!!
However, since modifications in accordance with the general provisions and safety regulations of the JAF domestic competition vehicle rules are necessary, the participating vehicles will not be registered with a license plate.
Even if the weight does not meet the regulations, entry is possible by imposing a handicap on the fueling area stay time!
If the above requirements are met, the vehicle can participate in "JOY TAI", but the JAF Domestic Competition Vehicle Regulations for Production Touring Cars (N1) or Special Touring Cars (N2) specify how much modification is allowed beyond that.
