Birth of Hello Woods
In the summer of 1997, Honda opened "Mobility Resort Motegi" in a corner of the Satoyama. People seek enjoyment in the appeal of mobility, wanting to fully ride motorcycles and cars, while also having a desire to relax and find peace in nature. We accepted this reality as it is and thought to create a place for the rich connection between people, nature, and mobility at "Mobility Resort Motegi".
In the fall of 1998, the forest of the surrounding mountains around the circuit was forgotten and in ruins. As I stepped into the mountains where the sound of cars and motorcycles could be heard, it was a sea of acorns. The silent acorns seemed to be sending a strong message, "Connect life to the next generation!" The sound of exhaust and the silent acorns... This encounter was the starting point of Hello Woods.
Satoyama awakens the dormant life through human "care", regains vitality, and brings various breaths and blessings of life. At Hello Woods, we want to create an opportunity for people who visit the cared for forest to talk about real connections with life and "realize" the connection between people, nature, and society.
To nurture the vitality of the forest and children
When Mobility Resort Motegi was established in the forests of Motegi, it was in a state of "abandoned satoyama, where time had passed and it had become desolate".
"Let's create a place where children can play with energy by maintaining and regenerating the valuable natural environment of satoyama."
In order to realize this idea, Hello Woods Forest is carrying out forest maintenance such as "disturbance (care)", "conservation", and "creation of diverse environments".

Hello Woods Forest Creation
"Tower of Life" is also one of the forest creation projects. By collecting the wood from logging and shaping it, there is a cycle of various living things including invisible microorganisms until the fallen leaves return to the soil. As there is an expression that 1 cm of soil is created in 100 years, it takes a very long time. The "tree people" that were given a will and shaped from the dead trees of the forest were also born as a symbol of Hello Woods, just like the "Tower of Life".
As a result of continued maintenance of various forests, approximately 5,800 species of living organisms, including rare species, have been confirmed within the Mobility Resort Motegi grounds. We also participate in the Ministry of the Environment's "Monitoring Site 1000-ri Survey" to investigate the long-term changes of living creatures inhabiting the satoyama, and strive to create forests with a constant awareness of biodiversity.
Maintaining the forest is not only about maintaining easy-to-walk paths for visitors, but also about ensuring safety by removing fallen trees and other hazards beforehand. Hello Woods is about taking care of the forest while considering both the creatures that live there and the people who visit.
30 nights 31 days summer Gaki Daiso Mori Camp
The "30 Nights 31 Days Summer Gaki Leader's Forest Camp" held every summer is a program where children spend a month in a natural environment without TV or games, and become aware of their human instincts and sensibilities.
In order to objectively observe the changes in the "mind and body" of the participating children in the natural environment, we are conducting a monitoring survey called "Children's Physical and Mental Health Survey" with the cooperation of Professor Shingo Noino of Nippon Sport Science University. We are not only enjoying the camp, but also working on creating programs that contribute to the well-being of the children.

In the motif of a round earth, we expressed the blessings of nature necessary for the realization of a "rich and sustainable society" such as the sun, blue sky (clean air), clean water, and lush land.In addition, the white line in the center represents the path that mobility can freely move, and the heart expresses the feelings and passion towards Honda's environmental efforts.

Recognized as a "Nature Coexistence Site" for biodiversity conservation designated by the Ministry of the Environment in 2023, Mobility Resort Motegi has been conducting environmentally friendly corporate activities with the theme of coexistence between people, nature, and mobility since its opening.
