Gate Entry

At the South Gate, vehicles will come to a temporary stop and display the "Vehicle Pass" that will be sent with the participation acceptance document.
Entrance to the paddock from the previous day is not possible due to other use of the course.
Competitors are allowed to enter earlier than the general entrance time on the day of the event.
The designated entrance time for participants is listed in the official notification's time schedule.

The area of Mobility Resort Motegi is 640ha (equivalent to 137 Tokyo Domes)!
Make sure to check the route from the gate to the paddock in advance to avoid getting lost.
*Please note that during general admission hours, the central entrance roadway near the Grandstand will become a pedestrian zone, so vehicle passage will not be allowed.

General Admission and Viewing

General admission for non-participants usually starts around 9:30. Make sure to inform your family, friends, and companions who will be watching.

Paddock Arrival

Each team has been assigned a pit garage.
The pit number is indicated on the shutter of the pit garage. Make sure to check your team's designated pit number.
Inside the garage, there are lighting, water, electricity, air conditioning, and TV monitors, making it comfortable to perform maintenance.

Vehicle Adjustment

Final adjustments are made before the race.
Teams are frantically dealing with various issues that arise at the last minute, using limited tools and all the knowledge they have at their disposal.

Document Inspection

Complete the document inspection on the day within the designated time.
At the document inspection, receive the transponder (measuring instrument), bib number, and others.

Course Walk

Let's actually check the course on foot.
There is a 1.5km lap and it takes about 20-30 minutes on foot. Once you go out on the course, you cannot immediately return to the pit, so be sure to check the schedule in advance.

Vehicle Inspection

Attach the race number and transponder (measuring device) to the race vehicle before heading to the inspection area.
It is necessary to mark the location of the fasteners and the direction in which the cowl can be removed from the outside in a short period of time with arrow marks.

●Brake Test
Place the vehicle on a brake test board and check if the brakes are functioning effectively.

●Leave your battery
To ensure fair competition, please remove and leave your battery with the vehicle inspection official to avoid charging or exchanging during the event.

Safety Training

To ensure safe driving, training sessions on driving rules and manners will be conducted. Team managers and drivers are required to participate.
If you want to have some extra time in the schedule on the day of the event, it is recommended to participate in the pre-event test drive.

Briefing

Important information will be communicated during the progress of the competition.
Team managers and drivers are required to participate and confirm their attendance.

Time Attack (Qualifying)

Receive the battery from the vehicle inspection, attach it to the body, and move to the starting point.
The official is conducting a pre-start check.

Start

Measure the time by starting one unit at a time.

Battery Inspection Drop-off

After finishing the race, remove the battery in front of the official inspector and leave it for inspection.

Lunch

Inside the paddock, there is a cafe-style restaurant called
'Gran Turismo Cafe' named after the PlayStation game 'Gran Turismo'. Enjoy a meal while experiencing the world of Gran Turismo.

Grid Presentation

"Time Attack (Qualifying)" The starting grid order for the "Final Race" will be announced based on the results of the competition.

Final Race

Receive the battery, install it on the vehicle, and head to the starting grid. The official will perform a pre-start body check.
In case of emergencies such as accidents, the driver must remove the cowl with only their hands and feet and immediately escape from the vehicle.
Therefore, it is not allowed to seal the cowl from the outside with tape or other materials to prevent the driver from getting out.

Start

Line up the vehicles on the grid, and the mechanics exit from the grid.
Send off the drivers and expect good results as they start!

Instructions to the driver

Instructions such as pace distribution are given from the team headquarters set up in the pit.
Although the use of radios is not allowed, many teams use cell phones to give instructions while looking at pace data.

Driver Change

Overtaking

Vehicles driving at low speed should drive on the right side of the course. Drivers should prioritize each other's safety while driving.
It is meaningless if the vehicle becomes inoperable during the race. Receiving the checkered flag at the end is the top priority.

Checker

The checker is waved when the competition ends.

Vehicle Storage

The vehicles will be stored until the official results are announced and team members are not allowed to touch them.

Award Ceremony

Even if the vehicle stands out, it is not possible to achieve excellent results with just a skilled driver or a great mechanic.
Each member of the team must do their best to achieve results.
Individuals alone cannot make things happen. Many "things" in society are made possible through this "teamwork".
