ABOUT About the Motegi Champion Cup Race

"Motegi Champion Cup Race" is a gateway for racers.

The "Super FJ" where young drivers aiming to become top drivers compete, and the one-make race "Motegi FIT" using Honda's "FIT", are among the diverse classes that make up the event.

Not only participating in races, but also just watching, this event is attractive to many motorsports fans.

CLASS Class Introduction

  • Super FJ (S-FJ) / FJ1500

    The Super FJ, born in 2007, is a machine that inherits the lineage of its predecessor, the FJ1600.
    From 2026, mixed racing with the new FJ1500 vehicle, designed with enhanced safety in mind!
    Held as a JAF regional championship race, future F1 drivers might emerge from this race!?

  • VITA

    A race using the VITA-01 certified by the Motegi Champion Cup Race Organizing Committee.
    The VITA-01, equipped with the engine from the TOYOTA Vitz RS, is a race-dedicated vehicle designed to thoroughly pursue reductions in initial and running costs, allowing for safe and competitive racing.
    Contrary to its familiar appearance, this category features exciting battles in races.

  • v.Granz

    A new class that has been newly established from 2024 as a step-up class from VITA.

  • Motegi CIVIC

    Race featuring Honda Civic (EG6, EK4, EK9).
    Among the categories held in the Motegi Champion Cup Race, this one has a long history and showcases the exceptional skills of veterans who know the Mobility Resort Motegi course inside out.

  • Motegi FIT

    This is a one-make race using the Honda FIT GK5, which is produced and sold in accordance with the JAF Domestic Competition Vehicle Regulations Part 1 Chapter 3 (General Provisions), Chapter 4 (Safety Provisions), and Chapter 5 (Mass-Produced Touring Cars (N1)).
    "Motegi FIT" determines the best FIT driver in Japan. The depth of compact racing is immeasurable, and this class, which competes within a restricted modification range, is decided by driving skills and setup techniques for FF (front-engine, front-drive) vehicles.
